Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Giftwise ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. The Service
Giftwise helps you track gift ideas, occasions, budgets, and the people you shop for. We offer a free tier with usage limits and a paid premium tier that removes those limits, billed through Stripe.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when signing up. You may delete your account at any time.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the information you enter into Giftwise (people, occasions, gifts, notes, etc.). You grant us a limited license to store and display that content back to you as part of operating the Service. You're responsible for the content you add and must have the right to store any personal information about others (such as gift recipients) that you enter.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe until canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from Settings or the Stripe billing portal. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service -- including attempting to access another user's data, disrupting the Service, or using it for unlawful purposes.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders will always be delivered.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Giftwise is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed reminders, deadlines, or occasions.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
